Opera Plus Series
These are events that are followed by a reception - not always. This season we will have the following events:

Teatro Grattacielo Concert of a Rare Montemezzi Opera - La Nave on Monday, October 29, 2012.

New American Opera Previews - from Page to Stage on Sunday, March 17, 2013. Midge Woolsey will host an afternoon of excerpts from two new operas.

Rodgers and Hammerstein's Carousel with Robert Goulet and Patricia Neway on Saturday, May 18, 2013. This season we will present a telecast of "lighter fare" with the two-hour Armstrong Circle Theatre adaptation of Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic musical Carousel.

Membership Party
Wednesday, April 3, 2013.
Each year we have a "pot luck" dinner (provided by our members) with entertainment presented by Encouragement Award Winners.

Winter Gala
Sunday, January 13, 2013.
This is our major fund raising event of the season - a high profile "black tie" affair.

This year we are honoring Metropolitan Opera bass-baritone Eric Owens. Eric won a major award from Opera Index in 1993, his first. Join us for in an evening of singing with our major winners, several celebrities, and gourmet food in the beautiful ambience of the Grand Salon in the Jumeirah Essex House.

Join us in an evening shared with numerous celebrities and with a recital of our major winners: hear the opera stars of tomorrow!

Spring Lunch
Sunday, May 5, 2013.
This year Opera index will honor soprano Marta Eggerth on the occasion of her 101st birthday. This event will take place at the J.W. Marriott Essex House at noon. Opera Index winners will provide a recital in Ms. Eggerth's honor.
